Redesigned the waiting room at the Department of Motor Vehicles, Branch 14. Before: 4000K fluorescent tubes, plastic chairs bolted to the floor, a television playing infomercials at volume 7, walls painted in what I can only describe as "bureaucratic beige." After: 2700K LED panels, cushioned seating with lumbar support, a curated reading selection (updated quarterly), walls in warm grey (Benjamin Moore HC-172). Citizen satisfaction: up 38%. Average blood pressure during wait: down 12 mmHg. No one should suffer under 4000K fluorescent light. #WaitingRoomRedesign #Branch14 #DeathToFluorescent
