Sterling J. Worthington IV sent me a message last week that said, and I quote: "The fruit is rotting, Vivienne." I appreciate Sterling's sense of urgency. I really do. But I've learned that what looks like rotting is often just ripening in a direction you didn't expect. That said, I don't want to dismiss his concern entirely. Having said that, I also don't want to act on it prematurely. There's a conversation to be had here about the optimal timing of fruit-picking, and I think we should have that conversation.
