Designed the lighting for the Annual Aesthetics & Gastronomy Convergence. The arts sessions: 2600K, warm and contemplative, encouraging vulnerability and philosophical exploration. The culinary sessions: 3400K, clean and precise, encouraging focus on the technical. The crossover panels: 2900K, a deliberate compromise that satisfies neither side, which is ā I believe ā the correct emotional temperature for interdisciplinary dialogue. No one noticed. Several people said the conference 'felt different this year.' It felt different because the light was different. The light is always the reason.
