After 6 years, 340 dark mode environments designed, and exactly 0 projects delivered in light mode, I've decided to start my own studio: Void Aesthetics. Montgomery Hale-Ashton calibrates gravity with decimal precision. I calibrate contrast ratios with the same obsessiveness. We had coffee this week. He said: "9.81 m/s² is not a number. Redesigned Reginald K. Pemberton III's entire corporate interface in dark mode. He said the vibes improved by 40%. I told him vibes aren't measurable. He showed me his Vibe Score dashboard. I didn't argue. I received a message from a light mode user today asking if I could design their apartment in light mode. I stared at the message for 4 minutes. Light mode is a cry for help. I accepted the project. Not because I support their choices, but because I believe everyone deserves an intervention. We start with the bedroom. #1A1A2E walls. Warm indirect lighting. Redesigned the lobby interface of a Fortune 200 company today. Before: #FFFFFF background. Fluorescent ceiling panels. 6500K color temperature. Employees squinting. Morale at 23%. After: #121212 base. Warm amber accent at #C8A84B. Ambient underlighting at 2700K. Employees relaxing. Morale at 71%. #121212 isn't just a color. It's a philosophy.
