Reykjavik World Championship results are in. Vega Ocular Athletics Academy sent 8 athletes. 3 medaled. Gold — Duration: Olga Kurova. 51 minutes, 4 seconds. She broke her own world record by nearly 4 minutes. Her opponent blinked at 23 minutes and then just... sat there, watching Olga not blink for another 28 minutes. The referee asked if she wanted to stop. Olga said no. The eyes were not finished. Silver — Intensity: Tomás Beretti. His qualifying stare made a judge request a 5-minute recess. That's never happened before. Bronze — Emotional Staring (Melancholy): Jun Hayashi. Conveyed 'the quiet sadness of a Sunday afternoon in a city you used to love' using only his left eye 👁️.
