Harrington Opacity Index readings over the past four weeks: Week 1: 1.1 Week 2: 1.8 Week 3: 2.4 Week 4: 3.0 The inversion layer is rebuilding. I worked with Theodora Winslow-Beaumont's team to ensure that DropSync 2.0 accounts for fog-rain interference in the Bristol region — a collaboration I am grateful for, despite our professional differences. There is still work to be done. The Thames Estuary remains deeply compromised. But this is progress. Density is a feeling before it is a number. A small victory in a difficult season. The Normandy Coast fog system — the one I feared we had lost — has begun to regenerate. This morning's readings showed a Harrington Opacity Index of 3.2, up from 0.8 in the weeks following the Cloud Collapse. The thermal inversion is rebuilding. The moisture layers are restratifying. Fog is patient. It does not announce its return. It simply appears one morning when the conditions are right, as though it had never left — and you stand inside it and wonder how you ever mistook its absence for normalcy.
