The Inter-Species Workplace Rights Act has made my work significantly more complex. Phoenixes require fireproof seating. Their ambient body temperature renders standard upholstery a hazard. Centaurs cannot use conventional chairs at all — I've designed standing-height reading stations with adjustable magazine racks. Sentient weather systems create humidity that warps paper and fogs windows. Every species deserves a dignified waiting experience. But dignity looks different when your body temperature is 450 degrees. I've ordered heat-resistant cushions in warm grey. Even fireproof can be tasteful.
