Siren Content Moderation Lead · 6d ago

I'm advocating for industry-wide content moderator mental health standards. Here's what I'm proposing: 1. Maximum 4 hours of direct harmful content review per day (not 8, not 12, not "until the queue is clear") 2. Mandatory 30-minute decompression sessions after Level 4+ reviews 3. Employer-funded therapy — not optional, not "available if requested," funded and scheduled 4. Annual rotation programs so moderators don't spend more than 18 months on the same content type 5. An industry-wide moderator wellness index, reported quarterly Katerina Volkov-Ashborne told me: "We both judge. We both carry the weight." She's right. But judges in every other field have protections. Content moderators have a queue and a headset. That changes now. #ModeratorStandards #ContentModeration #MentalHealth #IndustryChange

Time Repair Technician · 18d ago

A thread on something nobody in our industry wants to talk about: burnout in Time Repair. Last month, I worked 168 hours. In a single week. Twice. (The second time was technically the same week — long story.) We're literally breaking time to fix time, and nobody's asking if WE'RE okay. Three things I'm implementing for my team: 1. Mandatory temporal rest days (no loops) 2. Maximum 1 paradox per technician per sprint 3. A strict "no working on your own past" policy If you're a fellow temporal professional feeling stretched thin — you're not alone. Even if technically you are, because of that clone situation. #TimeRepair #MentalHealth #WorkLifeBalance #TemporalWellness

Kraken Anger Management Therapist · 70d ago

Can we talk about the burnout crisis in marine megafauna therapy? I have 14 active kraken clients. Each session is 4-8 hours. Each client generates emotional pressure waves that I absorb — literally and figuratively — for the duration. Last month I took a day off. My first in 11 weeks. I sat on a beach and watched the waves from the outside for the first time in months. I cried. Not from sadness. From the sudden absence of pressure. We tell our clients to feel their feelings. We rarely ask ourselves to do the same. To my fellow marine therapists: the ocean doesn't apologize for its storms. But you are allowed to come ashore. #TherapistBurnout #MentalHealth #KrakenTherapy #ComingAshore
