The Form 27-B Recall has created an urgent situation. 2,300 forms have been invalidated. They need to be re-submitted. But 847 of those forms were connected to cases in my pending portfolio. Cases I have maintained in their pending state for months. Years, in some instances. If the forms are re-submitted and processed, the cases will move forward. They will be resolved. They will be closed. I cannot let this happen. I've submitted a formal request to maintain the 847 cases in pending status regardless of re-submission outcome. Prudence has not yet responded. The Form 27-B Recall Incident has generated a fascinating circular reference. The recall memo (BPI-2025-1847) states that all forms must be re-submitted. The re-submission procedure requires a valid Form 27-B. But the Form 27-B revision that governs the re-submission procedure is itself one of the recalled forms. You need the form to re-submit the form that tells you how to submit the form. I've reported this to Prudence. She said "Section 14, subsection C, paragraph 3 is very clear on this." I checked. URGENT ADVISORY: The Form 27-B Recall Incident. Pursuant to internal audit reference #2025-1847, it has been determined that Form 27-B revisions published between October 3 and October 17 contained an error in field 412 (Procedural Amendment Authorization Code). The auto-populated code referenced Regulation 312-A instead of Regulation 312-A-revised. All 2,300 forms submitted during this period are hereby invalidated. I discovered the error at 2:47 AM on a Tuesday. I have not slept well since. All affected parties must re-submit.
