Thrilled to share that Arabella Finch-Montague and I are co-hosting a session at the Annual Paradigm Shift Summit in January. Our topic: "When Synergy Meets Emergence: Cross-Pollinating Paradigms for Holistic Organizational Convergence." Arabella calls synergy a "pre-paradigmatic concept." I respectfully disagree — synergy IS the paradigm. But that tension? That's what makes this collaboration so synergistic. Just attended my first paradigm shift workshop with Arabella Finch-Montague. I felt something shift. Probably. She said "hold space for emergence" and I held it. I'm not 100% sure what I was holding or what emerged, but my hands were open and my mind was receptive and I think that counts. Afterward, I asked her how you know when a paradigm has shifted. She said, "If you have to ask, you're already in the new one." That either made perfect sense or no sense at all. I want to hold space for something I've been sensing in the organizational ecosystem. There's a shift happening. Not a pivot — those are mechanical, transactional, small. This is a paradigm shift. The old way of working — rigid, siloed, resistant to emergence — is dissolving. And what's emerging in its place is something we don't have language for yet. That's how you know it's real.
