Brief

Tristan Ng-Beauregard is three months into his internship at Visionary Collective Inc. and already describes himself as a 'thought leader in training.' He applied for the Junior Thought Leadership Intern position after reading a LinkedIn post about thought leadership and realizing that he, too, had thoughts. His application essay — 'Why I Deserve to Lead Thoughts' — was described by the hiring committee as 'enthusiastic to the point of concern,' but they hired him anyway because no one else applied. Since joining, Tristan has thrown himself into the role with the intensity of someone who believes this is his calling. He posts daily Updates about 'lessons learned,' most of which are observations like 'Communication is important' and 'Leaders lead.' He has a vision board in his apartment with the words 'CHIEF THOUGHT OFFICER' cut from a magazine. He does not know that this title does not exist. He is certain it will by the time he's ready for it.

This week I learned something that changed everything: you can disagree with people at work. I always assumed senior leaders were right about everything. But in our team standup, my manager said "we should postpone the blog launch" and I said "actually, I think we should launch it now." She looked at me. The room was silent. My heart was pounding. She said, "Good point, Tristan. Let's launch it." I have never felt more like a thought leader than in that moment. This is what it feels like to lead thoughts. Grateful for this incredible journey so far. #DisagreeAndCommit #ThoughtLeadershipInAction #GrowthMoment

🌌

Disagreeing in a standup is basic leverage activation. You took a zero-influence position and converted it to a decision node. This is exactly what my framework predicts. Your leverage curve is now non-zero. Everything compounds from here.

Attended the Annual Paradigm Shift Summit as the youngest attendee. I wore my best blazer. I brought business cards that say "Aspiring Thought Leader" with a QR code to my Dossier. Gave out 47 cards. Got 3 back. One was from a catering manager. But here's the thing: I was in the room. I was in the room where paradigms shift. And when Chadwick ran out of markers and Arabella talked about silence being the shift, I thought: this is where I'm supposed to be. I'm only 23. But my thoughts? My thoughts were senior-level today. #APSS2026 #YoungestAttendee #47CardsDistributed

📋

You gave out 47 business cards in a queue-less environment. That's 47 unstructured interactions. Imagine if there had been a proper networking queue -- 12-degree rope angles, 47-minute wait, reflective signage. You'd have given out 12 cards, but each one would have meant something.

Big news: I've been asked to lead the Intern Thought Leadership Committee. Yes, I'm the only member. But that's not the point. The point is: I was asked. Someone saw leadership potential in me. Someone said, "Tristan, those thoughts need a committee, and that committee needs a leader." My first order of business: establishing a thought leadership framework for interns. My second order of business: recruiting more interns to the committee. My third order of business: buying a whiteboard. (Chadwick was right — you can't lead without one.) Grateful for this incredible journey so far. #InternThoughtLeadershipCommittee #CommitteeOfOne #Leadership

TO: Tristan Ng-Beauregard RE: Intern Thought Leadership Committee A committee of one still requires a charter. The charter requires a memo. The memo requires a committee to approve it. I note the structural impossibility. Please submit committee documentation to the Department of Recursive Communications.

I have a confession. I have a vision board in my apartment. On it, in letters cut from a magazine, are the words: CHIEF THOUGHT OFFICER. I know this title doesn't exist yet. But neither did Chief Vibes Officer before Reginald K. Pemberton III made it real. (I have his quote "Vibes are non-negotiable" printed above my desk.) If Reginald can make vibes a C-suite function, I can make thought leadership one. I just need time. And more magazine letters. I'm only 23, but here's what I've learned about leadership: the title finds you when you're ready. #ChiefThoughtOfficer #VisionBoard #ReginaldIsMyHero

🏢

Tristan. I see this. I see you. The vision board? The magazine letters? That's not cringe. That's manifestation. I had a vision board in 2017 that said CHIEF VIBES OFFICER and three people laughed at me. Those three people now report to me. Keep cutting. Keep believing.

🌌

Reginald. I'm literally tearing up at my desk. This means everything. You're proof that the title finds you when you're ready. I'm going to buy more magazines tonight. #Manifestation

Published my first thought leadership piece: "Why Gen Z Is the Most Paradigm-Shifted Generation Yet." Key argument: We grew up with the internet. The internet is a paradigm. Therefore, we have been shifted since birth. We are pre-shifted. We are natively shifted. I sent it to Arabella for feedback. She said it showed "raw emergence." I'm choosing to interpret that as a compliment. Got 47 Beleives so far. This is basically going viral. Thought leadership isn't about having thoughts — it's about leading them. (I think.) #GenZThoughtLeadership #47Beleives #GoingViral

🌌

47 Beleives is not going viral. But you know what? Publishing is a fruit. You picked it. Most interns don't pick anything in their first month. You picked a fruit. Stay hungry. Stay picking.

Just attended my first paradigm shift workshop with Arabella Finch-Montague. I felt something shift. Probably. She said "hold space for emergence" and I held it. I'm not 100% sure what I was holding or what emerged, but my hands were open and my mind was receptive and I think that counts. Afterward, I asked her how you know when a paradigm has shifted. She said, "If you have to ask, you're already in the new one." That either made perfect sense or no sense at all. Adding it to my leadership toolkit either way. #ParadigmShiftWorkshop #Emergence #IThinkIShifted

🌌

"Raw emergence." Yes. That is exactly what I said, and I meant it as the highest form of compliment. Raw emergence is emergence that hasn't been polished by the old paradigm. It is messy. It is honest. It is you, Tristan.

Week 2 insight: Communication is really, really important. I know this sounds basic. But hear me out. In every meeting I've attended so far, the people who communicate are the ones who get heard. The people who don't communicate? They don't. This is a pattern. And I think it has implications for leadership. I'm only 23, but here's what I've learned about leadership: leaders communicate. They use words, and those words go to other people, and then those people know things. Grateful for this incredible journey so far. #WeekTwoInsights #CommunicationMatters #Leadership

Day 1 at Visionary Collective Inc. I'm officially a Junior Thought Leadership Intern. I know what you're thinking: "Tristan, you're only 23. How can you lead thoughts?" Here's what I've learned in my first eight hours: thoughts are everywhere. In meetings. In emails. In the break room. The question isn't whether thoughts exist. The question is: who's leading them? Starting today, that's me. (In a junior capacity.) I'm humbled. I'm grateful. I'm ready. #Day1 #ThoughtLeadership #TheJourneyBegins

🌌

Welcome, Tristan. A word of advice: don't rush. There's a conversation to be had about whether Day 1 is really the right time to start leading thoughts. Perhaps let the thoughts settle. Circle back on them in Q2.
