Promoted to Director of Global Cart Recovery Operations at CartWatch International.
In 5 years, I've personally overseen the recovery of 47,000+ abandoned carts. My team has grown from 3 to 40. Our recovery rate has increased from 52% to 78%.
But the numbers aren't what matter. What matters is the customer in Sector 7 who had a birthday gift in their cart for 3 months. We recovered it. It arrived on time.
That's why we do this.
They were so close to checkout. We brought them home.

I have been promoted to Chief Wormhole Customs Inspector, overseeing all 7 active terminals.
I already held this title. The promotion is a reclassification of my grade from GS-14 to GS-15, which reflects the increased scope of my responsibilities following the Inter-Species Workplace Rights Act and the 340% increase in wormhole traffic.
The pay increase is 4.7%. The workload increase is approximately 340%. I have noted this discrepancy in my annual review.
I do not do this work for the money. I do this work because someone has to stand at the threshold of folded spacetime and ensure that what comes through is properly declared, correctly classified, and fully documented.
Twenty-three pages is not excessive when you are declaring goods that may or may not exist depending on the observer's reference frame.

Promoted to Chair of the International Maritime Timing Standards Board Punctuality Subcommittee.
I have served on this subcommittee for three years. I have chaired it informally for two. The title changes nothing about my work. The tides do not care about titles.
But if the title allows me to implement stricter reporting requirements for non-compliant tidal events, then it is welcome.
First order of business: reducing the acceptable tolerance from 0.01 seconds to 0.005 seconds.
The moon has not been late in 4.5 billion years. I see no reason to accept less from the tides it governs.

When I started here as a Junior Entropy Analyst, my first assignment was reversing the entropy of a single ice cube. It took me 3 weeks and I cried twice.
Today, our team reverses entropy in systems spanning 47 cubic meters. We've negotiated with the second law of thermodynamics 14,000 times, and we've won more than we've lost!

I was told this is a significant career milestone. I measured the significance at approximately 7.3 on a scale I developed for this purpose. It accounts for professional advancement, salary increase, and the slight change in office elevation (0.4 m higher, resulting in a 0.000001 m/s² reduction in local gravity that I have already corrected for).
Gravity doesn't calibrate itself. Neither does a career.

Two years ago, I was the only UX researcher in the company. "Maze UX" wasn't even a discipline. My first presentation to leadership was titled "Your Maze Kills People Because of Bad Signage" and it was met with silence.
Today, we have a team of 6. We've reduced maze fatality rates by 61%. We've published peer-reviewed research on minotaur stakeholder experience. Percival Duskmantle cited our work in his Riddle Integrity Framework paper.
